Friday, November 22nd, Basement Systems held their 4th Annual Chili Cook-off.
Pat Tarasovic, Volunteer Center Director at Valley United Way, Jennifer Bull,

trying 15 home cooked chilies the three judges had to choose The Most Original,

decision and several glasses of water the winners were selected. Marcin
Kossakowski, Chili Champion, Ron Canelli, Hottest Chili , Jeff Nelson, Most
Traditional, and Ferdinand Gojani, Most Original.
After the completion employees were invited in to taste the chili and all
proceeds from the lunch went to benefit Valley United Way!
Larry Janesky speaks on the importance of giving back to the community
Basement Systems kicked off their campaign with the Crock-Pot Cookoff. Once a
month, employees can sign up to cook a crock-pot dish that will be served for
lunch in the cafeteria. During lunchtime employees can pay $6 for a bowl and
help themselves to the delicious crock-pot meals. All proceeds from the lunches
will go to benefit Valley United Way. In addition to the crock-pot cook off,
Basement Systems held a traditional employee giving campaign. Larry Janesky and
Dan Fitzgerald of Basement Systems spoke, along with Jack Walsh from Valley
United Way. We even had our special guest from the Boys and Girls Club, Freddy
Dapp teen member at the Shelton location.
A delicious crock-pot cookoff!
